I was nervous at first that it would be a very complicated and tedious set up, but my fears were put to rest. From the very beginning everything was explained to me in technical language I could understand. The service was prompt and the installation was clean and neat. Technospeak was willing to work around my time and schedule to accommodate my needs. The consultant was very prompt and showed up every time as promised. I explained my budget at the beginning and Technospeak was very thorough to ensure I received the best value for the amount of money I wanted to spend for both the equipment and installation. After installation, doing a walk through, and going through different scenarios helped me to better understand the technical aspect and functions of all components. I’m glad I made the decision to go with Technospeak rather than a big chain store company because my experience felt so personalized.

From start to finish, our experience with Steve and his team was smooth, efficient, and pleasant. Steve came to our home before we started this project and went over our architectural plans to help us plan our home automation system. He provided detailed estimates (and I mean detailed) of two different options: one where he did all the work and the other was using some of our general contractors subs. We decided to have Steve do the entire job. He worked with us to get the estimated cost reduced to where we were comfortable with the cost. Steve is not the least expensive option, but he knows what he is doing and is extremely professional. After signing the contract, Steve worked with us and our general contractor to determine the best time to come in and do the rough-in work for the system. He and his team worked well with the general contractor and the other sub-contractors, especially when it came to scheduling and wiring. This was particularly challenging since our home had to be structurally reengineered and wiring had to be accomplished without impairing the structural integrity. Steve worked closely with us and the general contractor to make sure it was done correctly. Because of the structural design of the remodel, we had to rethink where the system hub was going to be located. Steve worked with us to determine and implement the best solution. In addition, he recommended, designed, and sourced the racking system that we now have to contain the hub in one of our closets. Unlike some contractors, Steve just rolled along with these changes and made them far less painful for us. His attitude was always “no problem”. No detail was too small: we wanted to use various colors for the outlets and outlet covers. Steve got us samples that we could work with and sourced the material after we made our color decisions. Steve and his team worked on the project in three different phases: implement video in the master bedroom, rough-in the system before dry-walling, and finish the system installation after the walls were up. He worked around our electrician, plumber, carpenters, painters, and dry-wallers. If Steve said he was going to be on the project site, he showed up on time and met his commitments for completing the work. After the project was completed, Steve came out and gave us a tutorial on how to use the home automation equipment and all of the related peripherals.

Three years ago I purchased a pretty high end 1080p 52″ TV monitor, blu ray, Denon receiver, Canton speaker sound system, (5 speaker set up) along with xbox and wii and a turntable. The “professional installer” that helped me pick it all out and set it up, and who will remain nameless, took a day to set it all up but basically never really got it right (as I found out later.) So, I finally connected with Steve. Wow! In three hours, and after a lot of sleuthing on his part, all I can say is that finally the system I bought is living up to its goal. It’s fantastic! He sorted some the obvious issues quickly, but then spent the last hour and a half refusing to give up on the stereo settings, and boy am I glad he hung in there!. Now we have what we originally wanted – a fantastic home theatre that is also a really hi quality hi-fi system to listen to great music on. To cut a long story short, basically, hire this guy. He’s the real deal!

We had been in the “dark-ages” of Electronics for some time now, watching an old Zenith TV. We hadn’t updated our Electronics for so long as we were unsure what we really wanted or needed, and who to trust in terms of how we put it together. That’s when Technospeak came out and brought us into the 21st Century. Technospeak started us off with 3-4 meetings just discussing what we wanted to do (we kept adding to the project). We finally decided we wanted two home-theater systems, speakers in 4 locations, and a network. The Technospeak representative then developed a detailed plan based on our wants and needs, which he reviewed step-by-step with us to make sure we knew what would happen.

They were great! I would recommend these guys without reservation. Finally, our home theater system is working the way it should have always been working. The initial company did things very poorly, and Steve fixed all the issues. Steve re-programmed our remote so that it would control everything seemlessly, not in the haphazard manner it was originally programmed, and he re-wired the DVD player so that we would get the Dolby 5:1 sound we had paid for when we purchased our receiver. Whenever we need help with the system or want to add a component, I will call Technospeak. They are great guys, who are smart and competent.

Steve sent me a quote which was more than I wanted to spend. He was really great about working with me to get what I wanted within my budget. He came on a Saturday and spent about 5 hours installing and programming equipment. He was knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant.

They came in on their estimate and finished an hour earlier than they thought they would. They were on time and I would use them again in future. Their quality of work was excellent and they were able to run the wires without making any additional holes. I thought that their price was pretty fair. Though they were expensive, they did a thorough job and were extremely proficient at what they do.

We had interviewed two others for this job and not having found someone satisfactory, turned to Steve (Technospeak). Steve was absolutely professional from the start. He came to our home for an initial consultation and patiently answered every question we had. He then provided an estimate and promptly began the job. What we liked most about him was his honesty and candidness. He did not try to push selling us equipment we didn’t need (like we felt with some others). In the many discussions, it was evident that he knows his stuff inside out and has genuine enthusiasm and pride in his work to make sure everything is done right. He was very organized and efficient in his approach to complete the job, and the quality of the job was excellent in every respect. Everything was completed timely, and within the estimate he originally provided.

My appointment with Steve went exactly as it had the previous year and I will continue to utilize his services for all of my audio visual needs. He is a consumate professional with an easy and engaging personality. His knowledge of emerging technologies is immense and his professional recommendations are consistent with providing you the best service, not always spending the most money. He is not cheap, but like a good doctor, you will not have to call him again unless you are considering updates.

Steve first came over, exactly on time, and gave me knowledgeable and comprehensible advice on what would need to be done to set up my new 52″ Samsung LCD TV, blu-ray player, and Sony 5.1 sound system. We set up an appointment right away, and again Steve and his companion showed up precisely on time. Then they mounted the TV, ran speaker wires, set up the sound system, mounted all the speakers, hooked up the DirecTV box and blu-ray player, programmed a universal remote (which he obtained for me) to make it so easy for me to understand and use, then got the whole system up and running, and cleaned up beautifully. And on top of that, Steve is the nicest guy — comfortable to have around, trustworthy, extremely pleasant, and approachably expert at his job. If you’re looking for someone to do any kind of home theater work, look no further — Steve and Technospeak are the absolute best.

I left a message for Steve to contact me. He returned the call within 24 hours and I made an appointment to meet me in my office. He arrived at my office at the appointed time. He and another gentleman looked over the blueprints and studied the three rooms. I wanted to have music throughout my office, and have volume controls in each of the areas. Steve was there about an hour. The estimate came in about two days. I decided to change some of the equipment and the new estimate was proposed. The work took most of a day. They were clean and the installation looked like it was professionally installed. All of the switches were level and the speakers were mounted perfectly. We were very pleased.

Steve was great! He is professional, the details of the job were explained to me in detail, he was patient (since I am A/V challenged) explaining equipment functions, he was neat and organized. The price he quoted me was spot on, no surprises.

Steve is extremely knowledgeable. I have purchased stereo equipment over the years, and never fully understood what I was buying or if I was buying the right thing. Steve is completely on top of the industry and has resources available to him if he doesn’t have an answer to an immediate question. I am not easily pleased, or wowed, by contractors that I work with – but Steve is the rare exception. I would recommend him to anyone that needs as little as understanding how to turn on speakers (my problem), to advanced trouble shooting for a large system. He will not only help you with installation, but will provide unbiased recommendations for components and capabilities for emerging technology.

Technospeak came to my Condo and gave me a very detailed estimate for connecting 2 Flat Screens and numerous video and audio components. Steve was very knowledgeable about all the equipment I wanted hooked up. He surveyed my Condo and gave me several suggestions on how and where to connect my Flat Screens. Steve did a wonderful job running cables under carpet and through the walls. When I arrived home from work, my televisions, and all my decks worked and I had no mess to clean up. He has also been very helpful with any questions even several months after the work was complete.

I wanted to convert my guest house into a home theater so I contacted Technospeak. The representative from Technospeak was on time to our appointment and walked me through the entire job. They were able to not only install the system without any wires showing, but they also integrated my own Satellite receiver, DVR and audio receiver with the new equipment and now everything works with ONE REMOTE! They were also able to send music from one source to the rest of my house using the same remote. My family looks forward to Movie Night and my kids always ask me to turn up the volume on action adventure type movies.

They were on spot and did a great job. They were on-time, clean and did the job at the price quoted. I would recommend them again without hesitation.

Steve returned our initial call quickly & scheduled an on-site visit to understand our requirements. He wanted a projector in our family room, TV in the Master Bedroom and a TV behind a mirror in our Master Bath. We also wanted our house wired for phone, network and TV. We cost Steve’s estimate pretty quickly and he and his team completed the project just as quickly. He did exactly what I needed and more!

He was just Awesome! I was super impressed. Steve came by and first of all explained in great detail what he would do. He then gave a very accurate quote of what the work would cost and then he came by and got it done. He finished by writing up detailed instructions on how to use the system and has been available by email for any additional questions I have had.
